Stroke Identification

You Will Never Know What The Symptoms Like Until........

My friend sent this to me and encouraged me to post it and spread the word. I agree. If everyone can remember something this simple, we could save some folks.

Seriously..

Please read on.........During a BBQ, Ling Ling stumbled and took a little fall - she assured everyone that she was fine (they offered to call paramedics) and just tripped over a brick because of her new shoes.

They got her cleaned up and got her a new plate of food - while she appeared a bit shaken up, Ling Ling went about enjoying herself the rest of the evening.

Ling Ling's husband called later telling everyone that his wife had been taken to the hospital - (at 6:00pm, Ling Ling passed away.) She had suffered a stroke at the BBQ. Had they known how to identify the signs of a stroke, perhaps Ling Ling would still be around today.
Some stroke victims don't die.

They end up in a helpless, hopeless condition instead.

It only takes a minute to read this... A neurologist says that if he can get to a stroke victim within 3 hours he can totally reverse the effects of a stroke...totally.

He said the trick was getting a stroke recognized, diagnosed and then getting the patient medically cared for within 3 hours, which is tough.

..........................RECOGNIZING A STROKE.

Thank God for the sense to remember the "3" steps, STR ..... Read and Learn! Sometimes symptoms of a stroke are difficult to identify. Unfortunately, the lack of awareness spells disaster. The stroke victim may suffer severe brain damage when people nearby fail to recognize the symptoms of a stroke.

Now doctors say a bystander can recognize a stroke by asking three simple questions:

S * Ask the individual to SMILE.

T * Ask the person to TALK to SPEAK A SIMPLE SENTENCE (Coherently) ( i.e. ... It is sunny out today)

R * Ask him or her to RAISE BOTH ARMS . NOTE: Another 'sign' of a stroke is this: Ask the person to 'stick' out their tongue. If the tongue is 'crooked', if it goes to one side or the other that is also an indication of a stroke..

If he or she has trouble with ANY ONE of these tasks, call for emergency immediately and describe the symptoms to the dispatcher.

A cardiologist says if everyone who read this and sends it to 10 people, you can bet that at least one life will be saved!

Another Way To Survive A Heart Attack....

Picking The Fingers?

I heard from a friend about another way to survive a heart attack and stroke.

When someone is under attack by stroke or heart attack, normally it is due to increased in blood pressure. In that instance, use a needle to prick the end of the victim's fingers. It may be able to release some pressure from the arteries.

Theoretically it sounds logical. It may or may not work! It has yet to be proven and I can't find any write up at the moment. I will update one I find it. Read further on Heart Attack prevention.

Early Action To Heart Attack May Prove To Be Effective

Coughing Out?

Can coughing really help to alleviate the worst scenario? Check this out here... and here....

Considering the chances of being alone and the nearest and fastest medical help is available, there is no harm trying. All you need to do is to cough out as loud as possible.

Scientifically, the cough is able to generate some extra pressure in our blood vessel to push through any blockages in our blood system. Sounds right isn't it?

"Coughing hard at the first signs of a heart attack could save a patient's life, researchers claim. Polish doctors said the pumping action caused by a deep cough would cause blood to be pushed through the body and to the brain." Continue....

Petai Is Available In South East Asia And North Eastern India

Salt: How Much Is Enough?

We Can't Live Without It But We Don't Need Too Much

Salt were worth as much as gold Centuries ago. During the period, people went to war for it. Now, we are over supply and become a health problem for some.

In today's flood of processed food, we are over consuming it. We have this problem of high blood pressure, heart failure, kidney failure and liver failure more than our grandfathers. Why?

The problem lies in the urban lifestyles. We consume more processed food than before. And the problem lies from the prepared food. We are unable to access the amount of sodium from the food we take. How much do we need a day?

Alternatively, we could save our health by simply making the choice of food we desire and cook our meal without sodium. We can have it as tasty as we want by making a healthy substitution. Continue here...

Silent Killer In Our Big 'O'?

No Cholesterol Is Far More Dangerous Than Cholesterol...

YES! According to research, Trans Fatty Acid pose a greater risk than Cholesterol because it can turn into plague. The plague will accumulate in between our artery wall over a period of time.

These plague are not removable by any means or drugs and it is a time bomb. When the plague increase in volume, it will narrow the blood passage way by pushing the artery wall from all sides.

When our arteries are hardened and for some reasons it rupture, we will be in for a hard time. Stroke and heart attack sets in.

The only remedy known is to consume Omega-3 on a daily basis to make our arteries flexible. Other properties of it are to make our heart stronger and reduce LDL (Bad Cholesterol) in our blood streams. The HDL actually 'sucks' away the LDL in the blood path and cleanse blood passage the natural way.

However, our diet doesn't help till the Goverment put a stop to fast food outlet. Read more here
